20090106 New Homestay

Tie-dye is a process of resist dyeing textiles or clothing which is made from knit or woven fabric, usually cotton; typically using bright colors.

Sheila got up early and prepared all stuff.

There are four cats in my current homestay.

One day, # 4  appeared in the front of the house.
He was sick, so the home-stay family kept him in the garage.

The food for Sheila's birthday party was kind of Chinese food.

Appetizer: chips and salsa source. The black one is hot salsa source.

My new homestay is not far from the old one.

1.6 mile, 5 minutes by car.

I can't believe that I've stayed in this homestay for almost 17 months.

I moved in the new home-stay ...
This is my new room.

Instead of the countdown in Time Square, I decided to celebrate at home this year.

Mixed Sashimi (Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, tai, and surf clam).

Although Zach said, food is supposed to eat, not to be taken pictures, I still continue taking pictures for food.
And ... only food ...

For the Christmas Eve party, we had beef and salmon.
Salmon was for Libyan roommate because he does not eat pork and beef.

Home-ma changes her decoration every month.
December, of course, is Christmas.

The two snowmen welcome you when you enter the door.

Jim said their Thanksgiving Party would begin at 2:00 p.m.
 That was the earliest I heard.

Thanksgiving Day is November 27 this year, but home-ma always has Thanksgiving Party before Thanksgiving Day.

 
Saturday, November 15 
1:30 p.m. It was supposed that there were California sunshine and beautiful sky as above picture.

The air was full of ash and smell of burning. 

After the lamb hot pot, Jim asked us to have a big breakfast the next day.
He also invited Sheila's parents.
We decided to stay at their house.
(Haha ... the other reason was that we drank some beer.)

I waked up at about 6:00 a.m. when Jim started to prepare the breakfast.
